Collin served in the Royal Air Force Police as a dog handler for over 23 years, before founding Wagtail UK Limited in 2003. A qualified Provost Marshal’s Dog Inspector, throughout his service career he was involved in all aspects of dog handling, serving in the UK, Northern Ireland, Germany, Falkland Islands and Cyprus. His involvement included a firearms and explosives operational tour with the Provost and Security Services. In Cyprus he was appointed Manager and Senior Trainer of a large joint service RAF/Army Dog Section. In addition to this Collin has also worked and trained with dog handlers from the British Civil Police Forces, HM Customs, HM Prison Service, Royal Navy, MOD Police, the United States Air Force, the Greek Cypriot Police Force and other government agencies. Wagtail UK has won a host of awards in including the highly prestigious ‘Home Office Value Supplier Of The Year’ award.  Wagtail UK provides detection dogs and related services for government agencies such as UK Border Force, HM Revenue & Customs, Police, Trading Standards, UK Armed Forces, DSTL and Irish Customs.  Wagtail is contracted by the UK Border Force to provide ‘Body Detection Dogs’ (for illegal immigrants) in Northern France 24/7, 365 days a year. Its sister company ‘Conservation Dogs’ is an innovative pioneering company providing a centre for training of specialist detection dogs for both Wildlife Crime Detection and Wildlife Conservation.  An international, multi award-winning company, Wagtail dogs can detect, firearms, explosives, drugs, cash, tobacco and products of animal origin including great crested newts, bat carcass, ivory, pangolin scale, bush meat, leopard skin and ‘live’ animals.  Wagtail is 9001 accredited, holds the Armed Forces Covenant Bronze award and supports a number of Military Charities. It holds a Home Office Licence to store & keep explosives, firearms and drugs for the purpose of dog training.  The Wagtail International School of Excellence (WISE) is an international training school, providing specialist dog training courses for government agencies and private clients in the UK and overseas.  WISE is UK Ministry of Defence (Enhanced Learning Credits) and (Career Transition Partnership approved). It’s instructors and staff are vastly experienced at working in hostile environments having worked in areas such as Iraq, Afghanistan, The Balkans and Northern Ireland.  Wagtail use the world renowned British Military methods of dog training incorporation methods recommended by ACPO (Association Of Chief Police Officers).
